🦇Tiny in the NHM: Introduced Species!

🦇Tiny in the Natural History MuseumHi Everyone!! We're back in the UNE Natural History Museum checking out the introduced species cabinet this week!! Introduced species have caused many serious issues to our native plant and animal species since their introduction in the 1770's. They can damage land and water resources, compete with native plants and animals for food and shelter, carry disease, and prey on native species. They may be cute, but must be carefully managed. Can you spot any introduced species in the video that you have encountered? Curious for more? Check out the activity sheets on introduced species, as well as other fun ways to play at home or school here: https://www.unediscoveryvoyager.org.au/resources/ See you next week!
