πŸ¦ƒHave you seen a Brush-turkey?
Β
The Brush-turkeys: Birds in Suburbia project aims to survey the distribution and abundance of Brush-turkeys, understand how they behave in different environments, and educate the community on the natural history and biology of this unique native species.
Β
Citizen scientists can contribute to this project by uploading their observations of Brush-turkeys (adults and chicks), nest mounds and other evidence of Brush-turkey presence. Participants can also learn more about these fascinating birds by sharing observations and knowledge with each other, along with the project team.
Β
Data collected by this project will increase our understanding of the distribution of Brush-turkeys, and the behaviours that enable their re-colonisation of former distributions, in particular, how Brush-turkeys have adapted so quickly to urban environments.
