It’s What Animal Am I Wednesday!
Let’s hear from this week’s guest.
Hi there! Can you guess who I am?
I live in tropical and subtropical waters in the Indo-Pacific Ocean.
I use my spines and teeth to burrow myself into rocks, and I venture out from these hollows at night to graze on algae.
I also eat sea grasses, coral, sea sponges, and molluscs (molluscs are things like clams, scallops and snails).
I can be greenish-grey to reddish-brown in colour, and my body is covered in spines that end in a sharp point.
The tips of my spines are often, but not always, white.
Can you guess who I am?
