31 Aug Far Out Science – it’s back!

Attention all teachers in the northern NSW region – Far Out Science is back in 2023! UNE is excited to welcome school students to campus for a BIG science extravaganza in late October.

Registrations will be open very soon. Add the dates to your calendar – Monday 30 October for Primary students (Years 5-6) and Tuesday 31 October for Secondary students (Years 7-10). Places will be limited.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to visit UNE’s Armidale campus and participate in hands-on science with the people who ‘do’ science – our academics, researchers, technical staff and science communicators and facilitators.  Students will get to see our real laboratories and experience a huge variety of science disciplines including chemistry, physics, geology, palaeontology, medicine, neuroscience and much, much more.

Each school group will participate in four activities during the day.  Travel subsidies will be available for eligible schools.
