Biological illustration has been the cornerstone of morphology and anatomy studies for centuries, where complex scientific information about organisms can be communicated accurately. These drawings can also be beautiful artistic depictions of the natural world, and art in their own right. Use historical butterfly specimens from our Natural History Museum, and light boxes to do biological illustrations of butterflies. Collect butterflies in your school yard too!
